أعلنت روسيا عن دعمها لديلسي رودريغيز التي تولت مهام الرئاسة المؤقتة في فنزويلا، عقب قيام الولايات المتحدة باعتقال الرئيس نيكولاس مادورو بعمل عسكري.
جاء ذلك في بيان صادر عن وزارة الخارجية الروسية، الثلاثاء.
وأشار البيان إلى أن تولي رودريغيز مهام الرئاسة خطوة اتُخذت وفقاً للقوانين الفنزويلية.
وأوضح البيان أن “هذه الخطوة تُظهر إصرار الحكومة على حماية بنية السلطة ومنع مخاطر الأزمات الدستورية في مواجهة التهديدات الاستعمارية الجديدة والهجمات المسلحة القادمة من الخارج، وتهيئة الظروف اللازمة للتنمية السلمية والمستقرة لفنزويلا”.
وشدد البيان على أن روسيا ترحب بالجهود التي تبذلها السلطات الرسمية في فنزويلا للدفاع عن سيادة الدولة ومصالحها الوطنية، مضيفاً: “نؤكد مجدداً تضامن روسيا الراسخ مع شعب وحكومة فنزويلا”.
وأعربت الخارجية الروسية عن تمنياتها بالتوفيق لرودريغيز في مهامها، مؤكدة أن روسيا ستواصل تقديم دعمها لفنزويلا.
وأشار البيان كذلك إلى حق فنزويلا في تقرير مصيرها دون أي تدخل خارجي.
وأردف: “ندعو إلى تهدئة الوضع القائم وحل المشكلات عبر الحوار البناء، وبما يتوافق مع قواعد القانون الدولي، ولا سيما مع احترام ميثاق الأمم المتحدة”.
والاثنين، تولّت ديلسي رودريغيز، نائبة الرئيس الفنزويلي نيكولاس مادورو، مهام الرئاسة المؤقتة للبلاد بعد أدائها اليمين الدستورية في البرلمان.
وكانت رودريغيز تشغل منصب نائبة الرئيس الفنزويلي منذ العام 2017.
والسبت، أعلن ترامب شن هجوم واسع النطاق على فنزويلا، أسفر عن اعتقال رئيسها مادورو وزوجته سيليا فلوريس، واقتيادهما إلى الولايات المتحدة.
وصرح ترامب، بأن الولايات المتحدة ستواصل “إدارة الأمور في فنزويلا حتى تحقيق انتقال آمن ومناسب ومعقول للسلطة” هناك.
والاثنين، رفض الرئيس الفنزويلي التهم الموجهة إليه أثناء مثوله أمام المحكمة الأمريكية بأولى جلساتها في نيويورك، وبينها “قيادة حكومة فاسدة وغير شرعية” و”التعاون مع تجار مخدرات”.
وذكرت صحيفة “نيويورك تايمز” أن مادورو قال أثناء مغادرته قاعة المحكمة: “أنا أسير حرب”.

Russia has announced its support for Delcy Rodríguez, who has assumed the interim presidential duties in Venezuela, following the United States’ arrest of President Nicolás Maduro in a military operation.
This came in a statement issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry on Tuesday.
The statement noted that Rodríguez’s assumption of presidential duties is a step taken in accordance with Venezuelan laws.
The statement clarified that “this step demonstrates the government’s determination to protect the power structure and prevent the risks of constitutional crises in the face of new colonial threats and armed attacks coming from abroad, and to create the necessary conditions for the peaceful and stable development of Venezuela.”
The statement emphasized that Russia welcomes the efforts made by the official authorities in Venezuela to defend the state’s sovereignty and national interests, adding: “We reiterate Russia’s steadfast solidarity with the people and government of Venezuela.”
The Russian Foreign Ministry expressed its wishes for success to Rodríguez in her duties, affirming that Russia will continue to provide its support to Venezuela.
The statement also pointed to Venezuela’s right to self-determination without any external interference.
It added: “We call for calming the existing situation and resolving problems through constructive dialogue, and in accordance with the rules of international law, especially with respect for the United Nations Charter.”
On Monday, Delcy Rodríguez, Vice President of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, assumed the interim presidential duties of the country after taking the constitutional oath in parliament.
Rodríguez has held the position of Vice President of Venezuela since 2017.
On Saturday, Trump announced a large-scale attack on Venezuela, which resulted in the arrest of its president, Maduro, and his wife, Celia Flores, and their transfer to the United States.
Trump stated that the United States will continue to “manage affairs in Venezuela until a safe, appropriate, and reasonable transfer of power is achieved” there.
On Monday, the Venezuelan president denied the charges against him during his appearance in the first session of his trial in a U.S. court in New York, including “leading a corrupt and illegitimate government” and “cooperating with drug traffickers.”
The New York Times reported that Maduro said upon leaving the courtroom: “I am a prisoner of war.”
