أعلن الرئيس الأذربيجاني إلهام علييف أن بلاده لن تقبل ما وصفه بـ”العمل الإرهابي” الذي استهدف منطقة نخجوان بطائرات مسيّرة قال إنها انطلقت من الأراضي الإيرانية، مؤكدًا إصدار تعليمات إلى القوات المسلحة للاستعداد لتنفيذ عمليات رد محتملة.
وأوضح بيان صادر عن الرئاسة الأذربيجانية أن مجلس الأمن القومي في أذربيجان عقد اجتماعًا برئاسة علييف، حيث وصف الرئيس الهجوم الذي استهدف منشآت مدنية في جمهورية نخجوان ذاتية الحكم بأنه “عمل إرهابي”، مشددًا على إدانة بلاده الشديدة لهذا الاستهداف.
وطالب علييف السلطات الإيرانية بتقديم توضيحات رسمية إلى باكو والاعتذار عن الهجوم، إضافة إلى محاسبة المتورطين جنائيًا، مؤكدًا ضرورة معاقبة المسؤولين عن الواقعة على وجه السرعة.
وأشار إلى أن إيران سبق أن نفذت، بحسب وصفه، أعمالًا عدائية ضد أذربيجان، مستذكرًا الهجوم الذي استهدف سفارة بلاده في طهران عام 2023، حيث قُتل مسؤول أمن السفارة وأصيب حارسان خلال الهجوم الذي وقع داخل مقر البعثة الدبلوماسية.
وأضاف أن قوات الأمن الإيرانية لم تتدخل خلال الدقائق الأولى من الهجوم على السفارة، معتبرًا أن العملية كانت تستهدف ترهيب بلاده.
وفيما يتعلق بالهجوم على نخجوان، قال علييف: “لن نقبل هذا العدوان، وقد صدرت تعليمات للقوات المسلحة بالاستعداد لتنفيذ عمليات رد مناسبة”.
وأكد أن أذربيجان أبلغت الجانب الإيراني سابقًا بأنها لن تسمح باستخدام أراضيها ضد إيران، مشيرًا إلى أن بعض وسائل الإعلام الإيرانية الرسمية كانت تشن حملات تشويه ضد بلاده.
وشدد على أن أذربيجان لم تشارك في أي عمليات عسكرية ضد إيران ولن تسمح باستخدام أراضيها في هذا السياق، موضحًا أن سياسة بلاده تقوم على الدفاع عن وحدة أراضيها وعدم تبني نهج عدواني.
وقال علييف: “كما أنهينا الاحتلال الأرميني، فنحن قادرون على إظهار القوة في مواجهة أي تهديد”، محذرًا من اختبار قدرة بلاده العسكرية.
وأشار إلى أنه قدم تعازيه في سفارة إيران في باكو عقب وفاة المرشد الإيراني علي خامنئي، واصفًا الهجوم الأخير بأنه مثال على ما سماه “نكران الجميل”، على حد تعبيره.
وأكد أنه كان رئيس الدولة الوحيد الذي زار سفارة إيرانية لتقديم التعازي، مضيفًا أن من وصفهم بالمسؤولين عن الهجوم “سيندمون على فعلتهم”.
وفي سياق متصل، أعلنت وزارة الخارجية الأذربيجانية استدعاء السفير الإيراني في باكو وتسليمه مذكرة احتجاج رسمية.
وأفادت تقارير بأن طائرتين مسيرتين أُطلقتا من الأراضي الإيرانية استهدفتا منشآت في نخجوان، ما أدى إلى إصابة مدنيين اثنين وتسبب في أضرار مادية في مبنى المطار.
ومنذ اندلاع العمليات العسكرية الأخيرة بين إسرائيل والولايات المتحدة ضد إيران، شهدت المنطقة تصعيدًا متبادلًا، حيث ترد طهران على الهجمات بشن ضربات تقول إنها تستهدف مصالح أمريكية في عدة دول عربية، ما أسفر عن سقوط قتلى وجرحى وأضرار في منشآت مدنية.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced that his country will not accept what he described as a “terrorist act” that targeted the Nakhchivan region with drones that he said were launched from Iranian territory, confirming the issuance of instructions to the armed forces to prepare to carry out possible response operations.
A statement issued by the Azerbaijani presidency explained that the National Security Council of Azerbaijan held a meeting chaired by Aliyev, where the president described the attack that targeted civilian facilities in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic as a “terrorist act,” stressing his country’s strong condemnation of this targeting.
Aliyev called on the Iranian authorities to provide official clarifications to Baku and apologize for the attack, in addition to holding those involved criminally accountable, stressing the need to punish those responsible for the incident quickly.
He pointed out that Iran had previously carried out, according to his description, hostile actions against Azerbaijan, recalling the attack that targeted his country’s embassy in Tehran in 2023, where the embassy’s security official was killed and two guards were injured during the attack that occurred inside the headquarters of the diplomatic mission.
He added that Iranian security forces did not intervene during the first minutes of the attack on the embassy, considering that the operation was aimed at intimidating his country.Regarding the attack on Nakhchivan, Aliyev said: “We will not accept this aggression, and instructions have been issued to the armed forces to prepare to carry out appropriate response operations.”
He stressed that Azerbaijan had previously informed the Iranian side that it would not allow its lands to be used against Iran, noting that some official Iranian media were launching smear campaigns against his country.
He stressed that Azerbaijan did not participate in any military operations against Iran and would not allow the use of its territory in this context, explaining that his country’s policy is based on defending its territorial integrity and not adopting an aggressive approach.
Aliyev said: “Just as we ended the Armenian occupation, we are able to show strength in the face of any threat,” warning against testing his country’s military capacity.
He noted that he offered his condolences at the Iranian embassy in Baku following the death of Iranian Leader Ali Khamenei, describing the recent attack as an example of what he called “ingratitude,” as he put it.
He stressed that he was the only head of state to visit an Iranian embassy to offer condolences, adding that those he described as those responsible for the attack “will regret their action.”
In a related context, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the Iranian ambassador in Baku was summoned and handed over a memorandum to himFormal protest.
It was reported that two drones launched from Iranian territory targeted facilities in Nakhchivan, wounding two civilians and causing material damage to the airport building.
Since the outbreak of the recent military operations between Israel and the United States against Iran, the region has witnessed a mutual escalation, as Tehran responds to the attacks by launching strikes that it says target American interests in several Arab countries, resulting in deaths, injuries, and damage to civilian facilities.
