لتطوير حقل غاز في الجزيرة وتصدير منتجاته عبر مصر، بحسب الشركة
أعلنت شركة إيني الإيطالية، الاثنين، توقيع اتفاقية مع مصر وقبرص الرومية، بشأن تطوير حقل غاز لدى الأخيرة، وتصدير منتجاته عبر ميناء مصري إلى الأسواق الأوروبية.
جاء ذلك بحسب ما ذكره بيان للشركة، وحديث لرئيسها كلاوديو ديسكالزي، خلال افتتاح مؤتمر ومعرض مصر الدولي للطاقة “إيجبس 2025” الذي تستضيفه العاصمة القاهرة، وفق بيان لوزارة البترول المصرية التي تنظم المؤتمر.
وأكد رئيس شركة إيني الإيطالية المهندس كلاوديو ديسكالزي في كلمته بالافتتاح على “اعتزاز شركته بتواجدها في مصر لأكثر من 70 عاما”.
أضاف: “نشهد اليوم خطوة للتعاون في قطاع الطاقة مع مصر وقبرص (الرومية) وهي توقيع اتفاق لتنمية وتطوير حقل كرونوس للغاز الطبيعي باستغلال البنية التحتية في مصر لتعظيم الاستفادة منها”، وفق البيان.
وأوضح أن “الاتفاقية تعكس الشراكة الناجحة بين مصر وقبرص في إطار للتعاون يتخطى الطاقة حيث تعمل علي مد جسور التعاون ودعم النمو الاقتصادي والاستدامة و إطلاق الفرص الاقتصادية”.
وبحسب بيان للشركة عبر موقعها الإلكتروني، وقع الاتفاقية وزير البترول المصري كريم بدوي، مع وزير التجارة والطاقة والصناعة في قبرص الرومية جورج باباناستاسيو، والرئيس التنفيذي لشركة إيني الإيطالية، كلاوديو ديسكالزي، في القاهرة.
وشهد الرئيس المصري، عبد الفتاح السيسي ونظيره بقبرص الرومية، نيكوس خريستودوليديس مراسم التوقيع، الذي جرى خلال حفل افتتاح معرض ومؤتمر مصر الدولي للطاقة، الحدث الرئيسي للطاقة في مصر، وفق بيان الشركة.
وتحدد الاتفاقية إطارًا شاملاً يسمح بالتطوير السريع لاكتشاف غاز كرونوس قبالة سواحل قبرص (الرومية)، حيث سيتم نقل الغاز ومعالجته في البنية التحتية لحقل “ظهر” المصري ثم تسييله في مصنع دمياط للغاز الطبيعي وتصديره إلى الأسواق الأوروبية، وفق البيان.
وتم اكتشاف حقل كرونوس في 2022 وتم تحديده لاحقًا في 2024، ويقدر احتياطي الغاز في مكانه بأكثر من 85 مليار متر مكعب.
وبالإضافة إلى ذلك، تشمل الكتلة 6 موارد محتملة أخرى قيد الاستكشاف والتقييم.
وتتواجد شركة إيني في قبرص الرومية منذ عام 2013، وفي مصر منذ عام 1954.
وفي وقت سابق الاثنين، افتتح الرئيس عبدالفتاح السيسي الدورة الثامنة من مؤتمر ومعرض مصر الدولي للطاقة إيجبس 2025 خلال الفترة من 17 – 19 فبراير بحضور موسع من وزراء ورؤساء الشركات العالمية للطاقة وأمناء المنظمات الدولية والاقليمية المعنية وعدد من وزراء الحكومة المصرية، وفق بيان لوزارة البترول المصرية.

The signing ceremony was attended by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and his Cypriot counterpart, Nikos Christodoulides, during the opening of the Egypt International Energy Conference and Exhibition, the premier energy event in Egypt, as per the company’s statement.
The agreement establishes a comprehensive framework to enable the rapid development of the Kronos gas discovery off the coast of Cyprus. The gas will be transported and processed using Egypt’s Zohr field infrastructure, then liquefied at the Damietta LNG plant and exported to European markets, according to the statement.
The Kronos field was discovered in 2022 and further delineated in 2024, with estimated in-place gas reserves exceeding 85 billion cubic meters.
Additionally, Block 6 includes other potential resources currently under exploration and evaluation.
Eni has been present in Cyprus since 2013 and in Egypt since 1954.
Earlier on Monday, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi inaugurated the eighth edition of the Egypt International Energy Conference and Exhibition, EGYPS 2025, which runs from February 17 to 19. The event was attended by a wide range of ministers, global energy company executives, secretaries of international and regional organizations, and several Egyptian government ministers, according to a statement from the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum.
