وتأتي استقالة ظريف، وهو وزير خارجية سابق، تزامناً مع سحب البرلمان الإيراني الثقة من وزير الاقتصاد عبدالناصر همتي، لكن وكالة “إيسنا” الإيرانية شبه الرسمية قالت، إنه لا علاقة بين استقالة ظريف وإقالة همتي البرلمانية. وأضافت “إيسنا” أن ظريف اجتمع، مساء أمس الأحد، مع مسؤول في الحكومة، ووجه خطاباً للرئيس مسعود بزشكيان، معلناً أنه يفضل العودة إلى سلكه التدريسي في جامعة طهران.

وأفادت وكالة أنباء “إرنا” الإيرانية الرسمية، مساء أمس من جهتها، بأن مساعد الرئيس الإيراني للشؤون الاستراتيجية محمد جواد ظريف قد استقال من منصبه، وذلك في ثاني استقالة له منذ توليه المنصب قبل ستة أشهر. ونقلت “إرنا” عن مصادر مقربة من الحكومة الإيرانية أن رسالة استقالة ظريف وصلت إلى الرئيس بزشكيان الذي “لم يرد عليها بعد”. كما أن الرئاسة الإيرانية لم تعلق بعد على نبأ الاستقالة.

ويعد ظريف مهندس الاتفاق النووي الذي أبرمته إيران عام 2015، وكان أعلن في الـ11 من سبتمبر (أيلول) الماضي استقالته من منصبه بعد أسابيع قليلة من توليه، احتجاجاً على التشكيلة المقترحة للحكومة. ثم تراجع عن استقالته بعد نحو أسبوعين.
وكانت مصادر قد تحدثت عن تزايد الضغوط على ظريف لدفعه إلى الاستقالة، ومنهم رئيس البرلمان محمد باقر قاليباف الذي اقترح على ظريف الاستقالة بدلاً من الإقالة.
