قالت الرئاسة الأوكرانية، الاثنين، إن الرئيس فولوديمير زيلينسكي وصل إلى جدة بالمملكة العربية السعودية، قبل أسبوع حاسم من المحادثات مع الوفد الأمريكي بشأن الحرب في أوكرانيا.
ومن المقرر أن يلتقي الرئيس الأوكراني مع ولي العهد السعودي، الأمير محمد بن سلمان، بينما سيبقى مسؤولون أوكرانيون آخرون في البلاد لإجراء مناقشات جديدة مع وفد من الولايات المتحدة يضم وزير الخارجية الأمريكي، ماركو روبيو.
وقال مصدر مطلع على الخطط إن المسؤولين الأمريكيين سيجتمعون بشكل منفصل مع مسؤولين روس وأوكرانيين في المملكة العربية السعودية هذا الأسبوع، حيث يسعى الرئيس الأمريكي، دونالد ترامب وفريقه إلى التوصل إلى اتفاق بين البلدين.
كما وصل وزير الخارجية الأمريكي، ماركو روبيو إلى جدة بالمملكة العربية السعودية، الإثنين. ومن المتوقع أن يلتقي روبيو ولي العهد السعودي محمد بن سلمان.
وقال ماركو روبيو إن الولايات المتحدة تريد الحصول على مزيد من التفاصيل حول موقف كييف وما هي التنازلات المحتملة التي تستعد أوكرانيا لتقديمها خلال الاجتماع في جدة، الثلاثاء.
وأضاف روبيو للصحفيين في طريقه إلى المملكة العربية السعودية: “لن أتفاوض مسبقا على أي شيء الآن. نحن في وضع الاستماع حقا. قد يكون لدينا اقتراحات يطلبونها، لكننا نريد التأكد بالفعل من موقفهم بشأن هذا وما هم على استعداد للقيام به من أجل تحقيق السلام”.
وقال ماركو روبيو: “قد يكون ذلك غير متوافق مع ما يرغب الروس في القيام به. هذا ما نحتاج إلى معرفته. لكننا لن نكتشف ذلك على (إكس) لن نكتشف ذلك، كما تعلمون، في وسائل الإعلام والمؤتمرات الصحفية. علينا اكتشاف ذلك في غرف مغلقة”.
وأردف الوزير الأمريكي قائلا: “لن نجلس في غرفة نرسم خطوطا على الخريطة، بل سنحصل فقط على فكرة عامة عن التنازلات الممكنة منهم، وما قد يحتاجون إليه في المقابل، ثم نكتشف الموقف الروسي في هذا الصدد. وسيعطينا هذا تقييما جيدا لمدى تباعد المسافة بيننا حقا”.
وقال روبيو: “آمل أن نعقد اجتماعا جيدا غدا، وسنكون في مكان مختلف قريبا جدا”.
وأردف روبيو موضحا أنه غير متأكد مما إذا كان سيتحدث مع فولوديمير زيلينسكي أثناء وجودهما في المملكة العربية السعودية، لكنه لم يستبعد التواصل بشكل غير رسمي مع الرئيس الأوكراني.
وقال: “من المحتمل، كما قلت، أن تكون مشاركته مع الرئيس مباشرة، لكن هذا أمر ممكن”.
وقال روبيو إنه من غير المتوقع أن يكون زيلينسكي ضمن الوفد الأوكراني في اجتماع الثلاثاء. ويضم هذا الوفد مستشار الأمن القومي الأوكراني ووزير الخارجية ووزير الدفاع.
وأوضح روبيو أن المبعوث الأمريكي الخاص ستيف ويتكوف لم يحضر لأنه متوجه إلى قطر لمناقشة الوضع في غزة.
وذكر روبيو أنه لا يزال لا يوجد اجتماع مخطط لعقده بين الرئيسين الأمريكي، دونالد ترامب والروسي، فلاديمير بوتين.
وقال: “من الواضح أنكم تريدون أن يكون هذا الاجتماع حول أمر إيجابي، لذا، لا يمكنني أن أحدد مسبقا ما سيكون عليه جدول أعمال الرئيس”، مشيرًا إلى أن الرئيس الأمريكي “لا يشعر بأن الاجتماعات تمثل تنازلات”.
وعندما سئُل عن الإطار الزمني لتحقيق تقدم في المفاوضات، قال روبيو إنه “لن يحدد أي إطار زمني مصطنع”.
وأضاف: “هذه الأشياء سيعتمد بعهضا بالفعل على استعداد الأطراف للتحرك والأحداث الأخرى التي تجري”.
وختم وزير الخارجية الأمريكي: “إذا وجدنا أنفسنا متباعدين حقا عن بعضنا البعض، فسيكون ذلك مؤسفا، وإذا وجدنا أنفسنا أقرب مما نتصور، فسيكون ذلك بمثابة أخبار جيدة وموضع ترحيب، ونحن بحاجة إلى الكثير من الأخبار السارة الآن، لا نعرف إلى أي مدى هم متباعدون حقا. لهذا السبب نحن قادمون للتحدث معهم اليوم ومن ثم ستكون هناك متابعة مع الروس في مرحلة ما أيضا”.
