قالت رئيسة سلوفينيا ناتاشا بيرتس موسار، الأربعاء، إن ما يجري في قطاع غزة الفلسطيني، الذي يتعرض لهجمات إسرائيلية مكثفة، هو إبادة جماعية، وأن العالم يلتزم الصمت حيال ذلك.
جاء ذلك في كلمة ألقتها الرئيسة السلوفينية بالبرلمان الأوروبي في العاصمة البلجيكية بروكسل.
وأوضحت موسار، أن الاتحاد الأوروبي ظلّ سلبياً ومنقسماً بشأن قضية غزة.
وأكدت أن بلادها تسعى إلى إيجاد جوار أوروبي سلمي ومستقر.
وأضافت موسار: “لهذا السبب بالذات، ندعو إلى تحرك أقوى من الاتحاد الأوروبي تجاه الأزمة في الشرق الأوسط”.
وتابعت: “ما نشهده في غزة هو إبادة جماعية، ونحن صامتون حيالها. ندعو إلى وقف فوري للهجمات في إطار القانون الدولي وقانون حقوق الإنسان”.
وشددت موسار، على أن الهدف الأساسي للاتحاد الأوروبي يجب أن يكون إنهاء الأعمال العدائية.
وأكدت على أن الاعتراف بدولة فلسطين هو خطوة ضرورية نحو سلام دائم وعادل في المنطقة.
وبدعم أمريكي مطلق، ترتكب إسرائيل منذ 7 أكتوبر/ تشرين الأول 2023، جرائم إبادة جماعية في غزة، خلّفت أكثر من 175 ألف فلسطيني بين قتيل وجريح معظمهم أطفال ونساء، وما يزيد على 11 ألف مفقود، بجانب مئات آلاف النازحين.

Slovenian President Nataša Pirc Musar stated on Wednesday that the ongoing situation in the Palestinian Gaza Strip, subjected to intense Israeli attacks, constitutes genocide, and emphasized that the world remains silent in the face of it.
Her remarks came during a speech delivered at the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium.
Musar clarified that the European Union (EU) has remained passive and divided regarding the Gaza issue. She affirmed that Slovenia is committed to fostering a peaceful and stable European neighborhood.
“For this very reason,” she added, “we call for stronger EU action toward resolving the crisis in the Middle East.”
“What we are witnessing in Gaza is genocide, and we are silent about it. We demand an immediate halt to the attacks, in line with international law and human rights law,” Musar continued.
She stressed that the EU’s primary objective must be to end hostilities.
Musar underscored that recognizing the State of Palestine is an essential step toward achieving lasting and just peace in the region.
With full U.S. backing, Israel has been committing genocidal acts in Gaza since October 7, 2023, resulting in over 175,000 Palestinian casualties—mostly women and children—more than 11,000 missing persons, and hundreds of thousands displaced.
