قالت هيئة عائلات الأسرى الإسرائيليين في قطاع غزة، مساء الاثنين، إن المصالح السياسية لحكومة بنيامين نتنياهو أعاقت عملية إطلاق سراح ذويهم، معتبرة أن الوقت حان لوضع حد لذلك.
جاء ذلك في بيان للهيئة ردا على تصريحات لوزيرة المواصلات الإسرائيلية ميري ريغيف اعتبرت فيها أن التوجه لانتخابات مبكرة الآن يمثل “كارثة للمختطفين” (الأسرى بغزة)، وفق صحيفة “يديعوت أحرونوت” العبرية الخاصة.
ورحبت الهيئة، في بيانها، بأن يعود الأسرى والأسيرات إلى صدارة اهتمام المسؤولين المنتخبين، الذين “امتنعوا حتى الآن عن العمل من أجلهم، وفضّلوا خوض حرب أبدية على إعادتهم”.
وأعربت عن أملها ألا يتم استخدام أسماء الأسرى عبثا، أو إدراجهم كعامل في اتخاذ قرار التوجه إلى الانتخابات من عدمه.
وشددت الهيئة على أنه من الواجب الأخلاقي العمل على إعادة الأسرى في كل يوم، وفي كل حكومة، وفي كل كنيست (برلمان).
وفي بيانها، اتهمت الهيئة الحكومة بأنها “أخّرت عمدا” التوصل إلى اتفاق يضمن إطلاق سراح جميع الأسرى حتى الآن.
وقالت إنه “خلال 20 شهرا، امتنعت الحكومة ووزراؤها عن إطلاق سراح جميع الأسرى والأسيرات دفعة واحدة، وإنهاء الحرب مع عودة آخر أسير، كما يطالب بذلك غالبية واضحة من الشعب”.
وأضافت: “للأسف، أعاقت المصالح السياسية للحكومة عملية إطلاق سراح المختطفين طوال الطريق، وحان الوقت لوضع حد لذلك. من يريد حقا إعادة الـ55 مختطفا ومختطفة إلى منازلهم، لا يربط ذلك باعتبارات سياسية ضيّقة، (..) الشعب يقف إلى جانب المختطفين”.
وفي مقابلة مع “يديعوت أحرونوت” في وقت سابق الاثنين، قالت الوزيرة ريغيف ردا على سؤال بشأن إن كان عدم تمرير قانون يعفي الحريديم (المتشددين اليهود) من التجنيد يهدد بإسقاط الحكومة والتوجه لانتخابات مبكرة: “أرى أن سقوط الحكومة سيكون أمرا مؤسفًا للغاية، لأنه سيكون كارثة على المختطفين”.
وفي وقت سابق الاثنين، أعلنت هيئة الأسرى أنه بالتعاون مع البرلمان الإسرائيلي، سيُعقد غدًا (الثلاثاء) يوم نقاش خاص في الكنيست يُكرّس بالكامل لقضية إعادة الأسرى والأسيرات.

The Israeli Hostages and Missing Families Forum stated on Monday evening that the political interests of Benjamin Netanyahu’s government have hindered the release process of their relatives, asserting that the time has come to end this.
This came in a statement by the Forum responding to remarks by Israeli Transportation Minister Miri Regev, who claimed that pushing for early elections now would be a “disaster for the hostages” (held in Gaza), according to the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth.
In its statement, the Forum welcomed the return of the hostages to the forefront of elected officials’ concerns, noting that these officials had “so far refrained from acting for them, preferring to wage an endless war over securing their return.”
It expressed hope that the hostages’ names would not be exploited or factored into the decision of whether to call early elections.
The Forum emphasized that working to secure the hostages’ return is “a moral obligation every day, under every government, and in every Knesset (parliament).”
In the statement, the Forum accused the government of having “deliberately delayed” reaching an agreement guaranteeing the release of all hostages thus far.
It stated: “For 20 months, the government and its ministers have refused to secure the release of all hostages at once and end the war with the return of the last captive, as demanded by an overwhelming majority of the public.”
It added: “Unfortunately, the government’s political interests have hindered the hostage release process throughout, and the time has come to put an end to this. Anyone who genuinely wants the 55 hostages returned to their homes does not link this to narrow political considerations (…) The public stands with the hostages.”
Earlier on Monday, in an interview with Yedioth Ahronoth, Minister Regev responded to a question about whether the failure to pass a law exempting Haredim (ultra-Orthodox Jews) from military service threatens to topple the government and trigger early elections, stating: “I believe the fall of the government would be highly unfortunate, as it would be a disaster for the hostages.”
Earlier on Monday, the Hostages Forum announced that, in coordination with the Israeli parliament, a special debate day would be held in the Knesset tomorrow (Tuesday) entirely dedicated to the issue of the hostages’ return.
