رشحت باكستان الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترامب لجائزة نوبل للسلام لعام 2026، تقديرا لدوره “القيادي والدبلوماسي” في تهدئة التوتر الأخير بين إسلام أباد ونيودلهي.
وفي بيان مساء الجمعة، قال مكتب رئيس الوزراء الباكستاني إن دور الوساطة الذي لعبه ترامب في التوتر المتصاعد بين الهند وباكستان منع اندلاع صراع واسع النطاق بين الدولتين النوويتين.
وأضاف أن “الاتصالات الدبلوماسية المكثفة التي أجراها ترامب مع كل من إسلام آباد ونيودلهي، مكنت من التوصل إلى وقف سريع لإطلاق النار ومنع صراع مدمر كان من الممكن أن يؤثر على ملايين الأشخاص”.
وأشار البيان إلى أنه تقرر ترشيح ترامب لجائزة نوبل للسلام لعام 2026، مؤكدا أن جهود الرئيس الأمريكي أظهرت أنه مؤيد للحلول السلمية والحوار، وأن ذلك عزز هويته كـ”سفير حقيقي للسلام”.
وفي 7 مايو/ أيار الماضي نشبت مواجهة عسكرية بين البلدين أسفرت عن سقوط ضحايا، وفي 10 من ذات الشهر توصلا إلى اتفاق لوقف إطلاق النار بوساطة أمريكية.

Pakistan has nominated former US President Donald Trump for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of his “diplomatic and leadership” role in calming recent tensions between Islamabad and New Delhi.
In a Friday evening statement, the Pakistani Prime Minister’s Office said Trump’s mediation role during heightened India-Pakistan tensions prevented a large-scale conflict between the two nuclear-armed nations.
It added that “Trump’s intensive diplomatic outreach to both Islamabad and New Delhi enabled a swift ceasefire agreement and averted a devastating conflict that could have affected millions of people.”
The statement noted that the decision was made to nominate Trump for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize, emphasizing that the former US president’s efforts demonstrated his commitment to peaceful solutions and dialogue, reinforcing his identity as a “true ambassador of peace.”
On May 7 last year, a military confrontation between the two countries led to casualties, and on May 10 of the same month, they reached a US-mediated ceasefire agreement.
