دعا رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي الأسبق إيهود باراك، الجمعة، إلى إسقاط حكومة بنيامين نتنياهو عبر عصيان مدني، معتبرا أنه “الإجراء الوحيد الذي لا يزال بإمكانه إنقاذ الدولة”.
وأضاف في مقال بصحيفة “هآرتس”: “عندما يقبع الرهائن في الأنفاق (الأسرى بغزة) وكل يوم قد يكون الأخير لهم، وتصبح إسرائيل منبوذة في العالم، ومعظم الجمهور فقد الثقة بالحكومة وزعيمها، فإنه يجب ألا نتخلى عن الإطاحة بها”.
وأردف: “الإجراء الوحيد الذي لا يزال بإمكانه إنقاذ إسرائيل هو العصيان المدني السلمي، الذي يرتكز على الإغلاق (الإضراب) التام للدولة حتى استبدال الحكومة أو استقالة رئيس وزرائها (نتنياهو)”.
وأشار باراك إلى أن “من يجب أن ينفذ هذا الحراك هم رئيس الدولة (إسحاق هرتسوغ)، وقادة المعارضة، والهستدروت (نقابات العمال)، والتكنولوجيا الفائقة، وأرباب العمل، وقادة الأوساط الأكاديمية والقضائية، ورؤساء أنظمة التعليم والطب، وبالطبع قادة الاحتجاجات”.
وقال رئيس الوزراء الأسبق: “إذا فشلنا، لا سمح الله، فسيحل ظلام على إسرائيل يهدد هويتها وأمنها ووجودها”.
وزاد: “الأمر الوحيد الذي يحتاج إلى النجاح ويمكن أن يفرض النجاح هو عامة الناس عندما يكون لدينا مليون شخص في الشوارع بتصميم ومثابرة، ستسقط الحكومة”.
ودعا باراك إلى “احتجاجات على مدار الساعة حتى يتم طرد الحكومة ورئيسها”.
وقال: “هذا هو الوقت (المناسب)، إذا انتظرنا إلى ما بعد الإجازات فسيكون الأوان قد فات”.
وأشار إلى أن “الغالبية العظمى من المواطنين يفهمون ما يحدث، لدينا شعب رائع وجيش حقق إنجازات رائعة ضد حزب الله وإيران وسوريا، لكننا عالقون في حرب الخداع بغزة”.
وأكمل: “الدماء تتدفق، وعائلات وأعمال جنود الاحتياط تنهار، ومن ناحية أخرى، يحتفل المتهرب (في إشارة إلى المتدينين الإسرائيليين المتهربين من الخدمة العسكرية)”.
وأردف: “يتم التخلي عن المختطفين على مذبح بقاء النظام الذي نسف مرارا وتكرارا فرص إطلاق سراحهم، الشيء الرئيسي هو أن الحرب (في غزة) مستمرة، لأن نهايتها هي يوم القيامة للحكومة”.
ووصف باراك الحكومة ورئيسها بأنهم “قيادة غير مسؤولة تدور بين الرؤية المتطرفة لإيتمار بن غفير وبتسلئيل سموتريتش (وزيري الأمن القومي والمالية)، ومطالب المتدينين والمصالح الشخصية لرئيس الوزراء نتنياهو”.
واتهم باراك نتنياهو بأنه “من أجل البقاء، يسعى جاهدا لتحويل إسرائيل إلى ديكتاتورية”.
وتقدر تل أبيب وجود 50 أسيرا إسرائيليا بغزة، منهم 20 أحياء، بينما يقبع بسجونها أكثر من 10 آلاف و800 فلسطيني يعانون تعذيبا وتجويعا وإهمالا طبيا، أودى بحياة العديد منهم، حسب تقارير حقوقية وإعلامية فلسطينية وإسرائيلية.
ومنذ 7 أكتوبر/ تشرين الأول 2023، تشن إسرائيل حرب إبادة جماعية بغزة تشمل القتل والتجويع والتدمير والتهجير القسري، متجاهلة النداءات الدولية كافة وأوامر لمحكمة العدل الدولية بوقفها.
وخلفت الإبادة، بدعم أمريكي، أكثر من 203 آلاف فلسطيني بين قتيل وجريح، معظمهم أطفال ونساء، وما يزيد على 9 آلاف مفقود، إضافة إلى مئات آلاف النازحين ومجاعة أزهقت أرواح كثيرين.
وتحتل إسرائيل منذ عقود فلسطين وأراضي في سوريا ولبنان، وترفض الانسحاب منها وقيام دولة فلسطينية مستقلة، وعاصمتها القدس الشرقية، على حدود ما قبل حرب 1967

Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak called on Friday for the overthrow of Benjamin Netanyahu’s government through civil disobedience, describing it as “the only measure that can still save the state.”
In an article for Haaretz newspaper, he added: “When hostages are trapped in tunnels (captives in Gaza) and each day could be their last, when Israel becomes a pariah in the world, and most of the public has lost trust in the government and its leader—we must not give up on toppling it.”
He continued: “The only measure that can still save Israel is peaceful civil disobedience, centered on a complete shutdown (strike) of the country until the government is replaced or its prime minister (Netanyahu) resigns.”
Barak indicated that “those who should lead this movement are the President of the State (Isaac Herzog), opposition leaders, the Histadrut labor federation, the high-tech sector, business leaders, heads of academic and judicial institutions, directors of the education and healthcare systems, and of course protest leaders.”
The former prime minister stated: “If we fail, God forbid, darkness will descend upon Israel, threatening its identity, security, and existence.”
He added: “The only force that needs to succeed and can impose success is the general public. When we have a million determined and persistent people in the streets, the government will fall.”
Barak called for “around-the-clock protests until the government and its leader are expelled.”
He said: “This is the time. If we wait until after the holidays, it will be too late.”
Barak noted that “the vast majority of citizens understand what is happening. We have an amazing people and an army that achieved remarkable feats against Hezbollah, Iran, and Syria—but we are stuck in a war of deception in Gaza.”
He elaborated: “Blood is flowing, the families and livelihoods of reservists are collapsing, while on the other hand, the draft dodger (referring to ultra-Orthodox Israelis exempt from military service) celebrates.”
He further stated: “The abductees are being sacrificed on the altar of the regime’s survival, which has repeatedly sabotaged opportunities for their release. The main thing is that the war (in Gaza) continues because its end would spell doomsday for the government.”
Barak described the government and its leader as “an irresponsible leadership oscillating between the extremist vision of Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich (National Security and Finance Ministers), the demands of the ultra-Orthodox, and the personal interests of Prime Minister Netanyahu.”
Barak accused Netanyahu of “striving to turn Israel into a dictatorship for the sake of his own survival.”
Tel Aviv estimates that 50 Israeli captives remain in Gaza, 20 of whom are alive, while over 10,800 Palestinian prisoners languish in Israeli jails, suffering torture, starvation, and medical neglect—which has claimed many lives—according to Palestinian and Israeli human rights reports and media.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel has waged a genocidal war on Gaza involving killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international appeals and orders from the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to halt it.
The genocide, supported by the US, has resulted in more than 203,000 Palestinian casualties (killed and wounded), most of them children and women, over 9,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands displaced and famine claiming many lives.
Israel has occupied Palestine and territories in Syria and Lebanon for decades, refusing to withdraw or allow the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital along the pre-1967 war borders.
