ضباط إسرائيليون أقروا بإتلافهم مواد غذائية ومياه وإمدادات طبية كانت موزعة على أكثر من ألف شاحنة مساعدات تُركت لتتعفن عند معبر كرم أبو سالم بعد منع توزيعها بقطاع غزة.
وفق ما نقله إعلام عبري رسمي، وذلك رغم تفشي المجاعة بالقطاع، وتحذير وزارة الصحة في غزة من موت جماعي للسكان.
وأفادت قناة “كان” العبرية التابعة لهيئة البث الرسمية، مساء الجمعة، بأن تلك الشاحنات كانت تقل عشرات آلاف الطرود من المساعدات الإنسانية، تركت لأسابيع طويلة تحت أشعة الشمس عند معبر “كرم أبو سالم” دون توزيع، حتى فسدت.
يأتي ذلك فيما يعيش قطاع غزة واحدة من أسوأ الأزمات الإنسانية في تاريخه، حيث تتداخل المجاعة القاسية مع حرب إبادة جماعية تشنها إسرائيل منذ 7 أكتوبر/ تشرين الأول 2023.
والجمعة، ارتفعت حصيلة وفيات الجوع وسوء التغذية منذ أكتوبر/ تشرين الأول 2023 إلى 122 فلسطينيا، بينهم 83 طفلا، وفق وزارة الصحة بغزة.
واعترف أحد الضباط في حديثه لقناة، “كان” قائلا: “دفنا كل شيء في الأرض، وبعض المواد أحرقناها”، دون ذكر توقيت الواقعة بالضبط.
وأردف: “حتى اليوم هناك آلاف الطرود تنتظر في الشمس، وإذا لم يتم إدخالها إلى غزة، فسنضطر لإتلافها أيضًا”.
وزعمت مصادر عسكرية في حديثها لـ”كان”، بأنه “لا يُسمح سوى بدخول ما بين 100 إلى 150 شاحنة يوميًا إلى المعبر الفلسطيني، ومعظمها لا يتم تفريغه بسبب تعطل آلية التوزيع”.
ونقلت القناة عن ضابط إسرائيلي آخر قوله: “الآلية لا تعمل، الشاحنات تتوقف، الطرق غير صالحة، والتنسيق لا يتم”.
وأضاف: “لدينا هنا أكبر مخزن حبوب في العالم، وإذا لم تُسحب البضائع الموجودة حاليًا، سنقوم بإتلافها ودفنها”.
واستفحلت المجاعة مؤخرا داخل القطاع، وأظهرت صور ومقاطع فيديو متداولة، فلسطينيين بالقطاع وقد بدت أجسادهم أشبه بهياكل عظمية جراء الجوع الشديد، فضلا عن إصابتهم بالغثيان والإعياء وفقدان الوعي.
والثلاثاء، حذر برنامج الأغذية العالمي، من أن ثلث فلسطينيي غزة لم يأكلوا منذ عدة أيام بسبب الحصار الإسرائيلي المستمر على القطاع.
ومنذ 2 مارس/ آذار الماضي، تهربت إسرائيل من مواصلة تنفيذ اتفاق مع حركة حماس لوقف إطلاق النار وتبادل أسرى، وأغلقت معابر غزة أمام شاحنات مساعدات مكدسة على الحدود.
ومنذ 7 أكتوبر/ تشرين الأول 2023، تشن إسرائيل حرب إبادة جماعية بغزة، خلفت أكثر من 203 آلاف فلسطيني بين قتيل وجريح، معظمهم أطفال ونساء، وما يزيد على 9 آلاف مفقود، إضافة إلى مئات آلاف النازحين ومجاعة أزهقت أرواح كثيرين.

Israeli officers admitted to destroying food, water, and medical supplies that were distributed on over a thousand aid trucks, left to rot at the Kerem Shalom crossing after being prevented from distribution in the Gaza Strip.
This was reported by official Hebrew media, despite the widespread famine in the Strip and warnings from Gaza’s Health Ministry about the mass death of the population.
On Friday evening, the Hebrew channel “Kan,” affiliated with the official broadcasting authority, reported that these trucks were carrying tens of thousands of parcels of humanitarian aid. They had been left under the sun at the “Kerem Shalom” crossing for long weeks without distribution, until they spoiled.
This comes as the Gaza Strip endures one of the worst humanitarian crises in its history, where harsh famine intertwines with a genocidal war waged by Israel since October 7, 2023.
On Friday, the death toll from hunger and malnutrition since October 2023 rose to 122 Palestinians, including 83 children, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry.
One officer admitted in a statement to Kan channel, saying: “We buried everything in the ground, and burned some materials,” without mentioning the exact timing of the incident.
He added: “Even today, thousands of parcels are waiting in the sun, and if they are not brought into Gaza, we will be forced to destroy them too.”
Military sources claimed in their statements to “Kan” that “only between 100 to 150 trucks are allowed to enter the Palestinian crossing daily, and most are not unloaded due to the breakdown of the distribution mechanism.”
The channel quoted another Israeli officer saying: “The mechanism isn’t working, the trucks are stopped, the roads are unusable, and coordination isn’t happening.”
He added: “We have the largest grain warehouse in the world here, and if the goods currently present aren’t withdrawn, we will destroy and bury them.”
Famine has recently worsened within the Strip. Circulating photos and videos showed Palestinians in the Strip whose bodies resembled skeletons due to extreme hunger, in addition to suffering from nausea, exhaustion, and loss of consciousness.
On Tuesday, the World Food Programme (WFP) warned that one-third of Gaza’s Palestinians have not eaten for several days due to the ongoing Israeli blockade on the Strip.
Since March 2nd of last month, Israel has evaded continuing to implement a ceasefire agreement with Hamas and exchanging prisoners, closing Gaza’s crossings to aid trucks piled up at the border.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel has been waging a genocidal war on Gaza, resulting in over 203,000 Palestinian casualties, dead and wounded (most of them children and women), more than 9,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced people and famine that has claimed many lives.
