قالت صحيفة “ميامي هيرالد” الأمريكية إن الرئيس دونالد ترامب أبلغ نظيره الفنزويلي نيكولاس مادورو في مكالمة هاتفية بضرورة “الاستقالة فورا ومغادرة البلاد”.
ونقلت الصحيفة، الأحد، عن مصادر مطلعة أن المكالمة الهاتفية بين ترامب ومادورو الأسبوع الماضي توقفت سريعا.
وادعت المصادر أن مادورو طلب من ترامب الحفاظ على سيطرته على الجيش الفنزويلي مقابل السماح بإجراء انتخابات حرة.
كما ادعت أن الرئيس الفنزويلي طلب أيضا “عفوا شاملا” على مستوى العالم عن نفسه ودائرته المقربة “عن الجرائم التي يُزعم أنهم ارتكبوها”.
وذكرت أن ترامب رفض هذه الطلبات، وأبلغ نظيره أنه “يمكن توفير ممر آمن (من البلاد) له ولزوجته سيليا فلوريس وابنهما، ولكن يجب أن يتم ذلك فورا”.
وأشارت إلى أن واشنطن رفضت طلب الزعيم الفنزويلي بالاحتفاظ بالسيطرة على الجيش، لأن ذلك قد يُنشئ هيكلا لـ”حكومة ظل”.
ولم تُصدر الإدارة الفنزويلية بيانا بعد بشأن المكالمة الهاتفية بين الرئيسين.
من جانبه، أكد ترامب صحة ما نشرته صحيفة “نيويورك تايمز” بشأن إجراء مكالمة هاتفية مع مادورو، إلا أنه تجنّب الخوض في تفاصيلها.
وأضاف ترامب في تصريحات صحفية: “لا أريد التعليق على الأمر. لا أستطيع أن أقول إن الأمر سار بشكل جيد أو سيئ. لقد كانت مكالمة هاتفية”.
والسبت الماضي، قال ترامب في تدوينة على حسابه في منصة “تروث سوشيال” الأمريكية إنه “على جميع شركات الطيران والطيارين وتجار المخدرات والمتاجرين بالبشر اعتبار المجال الجوي لفنزويلا وما حولها مغلقا بالكامل”.
من جهتها، دعت الحكومة الفنزويلية إلى احترام مجالها الجوي “بشكل غير مشروط”، مؤكدة سيادتها الكاملة على جميع أجوائها.
والخميس، أصدر الرئيس الفنزويلي نيكولاس مادورو، تعليمات للقوات الجوية بـ”الجاهزية” تحسبا لأي هجوم محتمل من الولايات المتحدة.
وتصاعدت التوترات مؤخرا بين الولايات المتحدة وفنزويلا، حيث أصدر الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترامب، في أغسطس/ آب الماضي، أمرا تنفيذيا يقضي بزيادة استخدام الجيش بدعوى “مكافحة عصابات المخدرات” في أمريكا اللاتينية.
وفي هذا السياق، أعلنت واشنطن إرسال سفن حربية وغواصة إلى قبالة سواحل فنزويلا، فيما قال وزير الحرب الأمريكي بيت هيغسيث، إن الجيش جاهز للعمليات بما فيها تغيير النظام في فنزويلا.
وردا على ذلك، أعلن مادورو، حشد قوات يبلغ قوامها 4.5 ملايين شخص في البلاد، والاستعداد لصد لأي هجوم محتمل.
وأثارت الهجمات التي شنها الجيش الأمريكي على قوارب في البحر الكاريبي والمحيط الهادئ، بادعاء تهريبها للمخدرات، والاستهداف المباشر للأشخاص على متنها، جدلا بشأن “عمليات القتل خارج نطاق القانون” في المجتمع الدولي.

The American newspaper “Miami Herald” reported that President Donald Trump told his Venezuelan counterpart Nicolás Maduro in a phone call that he must “resign immediately and leave the country.”

The sources claimed that Maduro asked Trump to maintain his control over the Venezuelan military in exchange for allowing free elections.

Last Saturday, Trump said in a post on his account on the American platform “Truth Social” that “all airlines, pilots, drug dealers, and human traffickers must consider the airspace of Venezuela and its surroundings completely closed.”
For its part, the Venezuelan government called for the “unconditional” respect of its airspace, affirming its full sovereignty over all its airspace.
On Thursday, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro instructed the air force to be “on alert” in anticipation of any potential attack from the United States.
Tensions have recently escalated between the United States and Venezuela, as U.S. President Donald Trump issued an executive order in August increasing the use of the military under the pretext of “combating drug cartels” in Latin America.
