أعلنت وزارة الدفاع اليابانية اليوم الأحد أن طائرات عسكرية صينية “أغلقت راداراتها” على مقاتلات يابانية في الأجواء فوق جنوب شرقي جزيرة أوكيناوا، واصفة الأمر بأنه “عمل خطر”.
وإغلاق الرادار خاصية في كثير من نظم الرادارات تسمح للطائرة بتحديد هدف معين وتتبعه بشكل مستمر وتلقائي.
وشهدت العلاقات بين بكين وطوكيو توتراً كبيراً خلال نوفمبر (تشرين الثاني) الماضي عقب تصريحات لرئيسة الوزراء اليابانية ساناي تاكايتشي أشارت فيها إلى أن طوكيو قد تتدخل عسكرياً في حال تعرضت تايوان لهجوم.
ووصف وزير الدفاع الياباني شينغيرو كويزومي في مؤتمر صحافي عقده على عجل صباح اليوم، هذه الحوادث بأنها “خطرة ومؤسفة للغاية”، قائلاً إن اليابان قدمت “احتجاجاً شديد اللهجة” لبكين وطالبتها بمنع تكرار ذلك.
وأكدت الوزارة عدم وقوع أي أضرار أو إصابات جراء حوادث أمس السبت.
وفي الحادثة الأولى التي وقعت فوق البحر في جنوب شرقي جزيرة أوكيناوا، قالت الوزارة في بيان إن “طائرة مقاتلة من طراز جاي-15 انطلقت من حاملة الطائرات لياونينغ التابعة للبحرية الصينية قامت بإغلاق رادارها بشكل متقطع” على طائرة مقاتلة من طراز أف-15 تابعة للقوات الجوية اليابانية.
وذكر البيان أنه بعد نحو ساعتين، قامت مقاتلة صينية من طراز جاي-15 انطلقت أيضاً من حاملة الطائرات “لياونينغ”، بإغلاق رادارها بشكل متقطع على مقاتلة يابانية، وتابع أن “إغلاق الرادار في هذه الحوادث يشكل عملاً خطراً”، معرباً عن “أسفه الشديد لوقوع مثل هذه الحوادث”.
من جانبه قال متحدث باسم البحرية الصينية الأحد إن طائرة تابعة لقوات الدفاع الذاتي اليابانية اقتربت مراراً من البحرية الصينية وعطلتها أثناء تدريبات وإن مزاعم طوكيو لا تتفق مع الحقائق.
وتستخدم الطائرات المقاتلة راداراتها لتحديد الأهداف والتحكم بإطلاق النار، وكذلك في عمليات البحث والإنقاذ.

Japan’s Ministry of Defense announced on Sunday that Chinese military aircraft “locked their radars” onto Japanese fighters in the airspace over the southeast of Okinawa Island, describing it as a “dangerous act.”
Tokyo accuses Beijing of locking the radars of Chinese fighters onto Japanese ones.
Radar lock-on is a feature in many radar systems that allows an aircraft to designate a specific target and track it continuously and automatically.
Relations between Beijing and Tokyo saw significant tension last November following remarks by Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi indicating that Tokyo might intervene militarily if Taiwan were attacked.
Japanese Defense Minister Shigeru Koizumi, in a hastily convened press conference on Sunday morning, called these incidents “dangerous and extremely regrettable,” saying Japan had lodged a “strongly worded protest” with Beijing and demanded that it prevent a recurrence.
The ministry confirmed that no damage or injuries resulted from Saturday’s incidents.
In the first incident, which occurred over the sea southeast of Okinawa Island, the ministry said in a statement that “a J-15 fighter that took off from the Chinese navy aircraft carrier Liaoning intermittently locked its radar” onto an F-15 fighter of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force.
The statement added that about two hours later, another Chinese J-15, also launched from the aircraft carrier Liaoning, intermittently locked its radar onto a Japanese fighter. It continued, “Radar lock-on in these incidents constitutes a dangerous act,” expressing its “deep regret that such incidents occurred.”
For its part, a Chinese navy spokesperson said Sunday that a Japanese Self-Defense Forces aircraft repeatedly approached and interfered with the Chinese navy during exercises, and that Tokyo’s claims are inconsistent with the facts.
Fighter aircraft use their radars to designate targets and control weapons release, as well as for search-and-rescue operations.
