قال الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترامب إنه سيعلن أعضاء “مجلس السلام” في غزة، مطلع عام 2026.
جاء ذلك في معرض إجابته على أسئلة الصحفيين عقب اجتماع مع رجال أعمال في البيت الأبيض، الأربعاء.
وردا على سؤال حول تاريخ إعلان أسماء أعضاء مجلس السلام في غزة، أجاب ترامب: “سنقوم بذلك مطلع العام المقبل، وسيكون مجلس السلام أحد أعظم المجالس على الإطلاق، والجميع يرغب في الانضمام إلى هذا المجلس”.
وأوضح ترامب أن قادة أهم الدول سيكونون أعضاء في هذا المجلس.
ويبرز مجلس السلام كأحد البنود المدرجة في خطة السلام المكونة من 20 بند، التي أعلنها الرئيس الأمريكي ترامب في 9 أكتوبر/ تشرين الأول الماضي وأقرها مجلس الأمن الدولي في 18 نوفمبر/ تشرين الثاني.
وبحسب الخطة، سيلعب مجلس السلام دوراً رئيسياً في تنسيق العمليات الدولية في وقف إطلاق النار وإعادة الإعمار اللاحقة في غزة.
وخلّفت حرب الإبادة الإسرائيلية في غزة التي بدأت في 8 أكتوبر 2023 واستمرت لعامين، أكثر من 70 ألف قتيل وما يفوق 171 ألف جريح، معظمهم أطفال ونساء.
وبالإضافة إلى الضحايا ومعظمهم أطفال ونساء، تسببت إسرائيل بدمار هائل في غزة، مع تكلفة إعادة إعمار قدرتها الأمم المتحدة بنحو 70 مليار دولار.
وتواصل إسرائيل خروقاتها لاتفاق وقف إطلاق النار، ما أدى إلى مقتل وإصابة مئات الفلسطينيين.
