ذكر تقرير لموقع “أكسيوس” الإخباري الأمريكي، الخميس، أن الرئيس دونالد ترامب يخطط لتعيين جنرال أمريكي على رأس قوة الاستقرار المزمع نشرها في قطاع غزة.
ويؤكد التقرير، استناداً إلى معلومات من مسؤولين أمريكيين وإسرائيليين، دون تسميتهم، أن التعيين المحتمل للجنرال الأمريكي سيحول قوة الاستقرار ولجنة السلام في غزة إلى “أكبر مشروع سياسي وعسكري تضطلع به الإدارة الأمريكية في الشرق الأوسط خلال العشرين عاما الماضية”.
كما أشار إلى أن هذا التعيين المحتمل سيزيد من مسؤولية الولايات المتحدة في تأمين غزة وإعادة إعمارها.
وأضاف أن المندوب الأمريكي الدائم لدى الأمم المتحدة مايك والتز، أبلغ رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو بهذا التعيين المحتمل خلال اجتماعهما في وقت سابق من الأسبوع الجاري.
وقال المسؤول الإسرائيلي الذي تحدّث إلى “أكسيوس”، أنّ والتز يعرف الجنرال الأمريكي شخصيا، ووصفه بأنه رجل جاد للغاية.
وأكّد المسؤولان الأمريكيان اللذان تحدّثا إلى الموقع أن الترتيبات المتعلقة بقوة الاستقرار الدولية وهيكل إدارة غزة الجديدة “في مراحلها النهائية”.
وفي 18 نوفمبر/ تشرين الثاني الماضي، اعتمد مجلس الأمن الدولي بالأغلبية مشروع قرار أمريكي بشأن إنهاء الحرب الإسرائيلية في قطاع غزة، يأذن بإنشاء قوة دولية مؤقتة حتى نهاية عام 2027.
وبحسب القرار، ستدار غزة عبر حكومة تكنوقراط فلسطينية انتقالية، تعمل تحت إشراف “مجلس سلام” تنفيذي بقيادة الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترامب، وفقا لخطته.
ووفقا لخطة طرحها ترامب، بدأت في 10 أكتوبر/ تشرين الأول الماضي مرحلة أولى من اتفاق لوقف إطلاق النار وتبادل أسرى بين إسرائيل والفصائل الفلسطينية.
وتشمل المرحلة الثانية من اتفاق وقف النار بنودا بينها إدارة غزة عبر حكومة انتقالية مؤقتة تتكون من لجنة تكنوقراط فلسطينية غير سياسية، ووضع خطة اقتصادية من الرئيس ترامب لإعادة إعمار غزة.
وخلّفت حرب الإبادة الإسرائيلية في غزة التي بدأت في 8 أكتوبر 2023 واستمرت عامين، أكثر من 70 ألف قتيل وما يفوق 171 ألف جريح، معظمهم أطفال ونساء.
وكان من المفترض أن ينهي اتفاق وقف إطلاق النار حرب الإبادة، لكن إسرائيل تواصل خروقاتها للاتفاق، ما أدى إلى مقتل وإصابة مئات الفلسطينيين.

According to a report by the American news website “Axios” on Thursday, President Donald Trump plans to appoint a U.S. general to head the stability force intended to be deployed in the Gaza Strip.
The report, citing information from unnamed American and Israeli officials, confirms that the potential appointment of the U.S. general would transform the Gaza stability force and peace committee into “the largest political and military project undertaken by the U.S. administration in the Middle East over the past twenty years.”
It also indicated that this potential appointment would increase U.S. responsibility for securing and rebuilding Gaza.
The report added that the U.S. Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Mike Waltz, informed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of this potential appointment during their meeting earlier this week.
An Israeli official who spoke to “Axios” stated that Waltz knows the U.S. general personally and described him as a very serious man.
The two American officials who spoke to the website confirmed that the arrangements regarding the international stability force and the new Gaza administration structure are “in their final stages.”
On November 18 of last year, the UN Security Council approved by majority a U.S. draft resolution concerning ending the Israeli war in the Gaza Strip, authorizing the establishment of a temporary international force until the end of 2027.
According to the resolution, Gaza will be managed by a transitional Palestinian technocratic government, operating under the supervision of an executive “Peace Council” led by U.S. President Donald Trump, in accordance with his plan.
According to a plan proposed by Trump, a first phase of a ceasefire agreement and prisoner exchange between Israel and Palestinian factions began on October 10 of last year.
The second phase of the ceasefire agreement includes provisions, among them the management of Gaza by a temporary transitional government consisting of a non-political Palestinian technocratic committee, and an economic plan from President Trump for rebuilding Gaza.
The Israeli war of extermination in Gaza, which began on October 8, 2023, and lasted for two years, resulted in more than 70,000 killed and over 171,000 injured, most of them children and women.
The ceasefire agreement was supposed to end the war of extermination, but Israel continues to violate the agreement, leading to the killing and injury of hundreds of Palestinians.
