التقى وزيرا الخارجية والدفاع السوريان الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين، أمس الثلاثاء، في موسكو حيث ناقشا معه التعاون العسكري، وفق ما أفادت وكالة الأنباء الرسمية “سانا”.
وتعد هذه الرحلة الأحدث للسلطات السورية الجديدة إلى روسيا منذ أطاحت بشار الأسد، حليف موسكو، في ديسمبر (كانون الأول) الماضي.
وتؤوي روسيا الأسد وعائلته منذ فرارهم من سوريا.
وذكرت “سانا” أن “وزير الخارجية والمغتربين السوري أسعد حسن الشيباني ووزير الدفاع اللواء مرهف أبوقصرة التقيا في موسكو الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين، في اجتماع تناول مختلف القضايا السياسية والعسكرية والاقتصادية ذات الاهتمام المشترك بين البلدين، مع تركيز خاص على التعاون الاستراتيجي في مجال الصناعات العسكرية”.
وأضافت أن الجانبين بحثا في “سبل تطوير الشراكة العسكرية والتقنية (…) ونقل الخبرات الفنية والتقنية، والتعاون في مجالات البحث والتطوير، بما يسهم في تعزيز منظومة الدفاع الوطني ودعم الأمن والاستقرار في سوريا والمنطقة”.
وفي الجانب الاقتصادي “جرى بحث آفاق توسيع التعاون الاقتصادي والتجاري بين البلدين، بما يشمل دعم مشاريع إعادة الإعمار، وتطوير قطاعات البنية التحتية، وتشجيع الاستثمارات في سوريا، إضافة إلى تعزيز التبادل التجاري وتسهيل الشراكات، بما ينعكس إيجاباً على الاقتصاد السوري ويسهم في تحسين الظروف المعيشية” بحسب الوكالة.

Syrian Foreign Minister and Defense Minister met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Tuesday, where they discussed military cooperation, according to the official news agency SANA.
This trip is the latest by the new Syrian authorities to Russia since they ousted Bashar al-Assad, Moscow’s ally, last December.
Russia is hosting al-Assad and his family since they fled Syria.
SANA reported that “Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Hassan Al-Shaibani, and Minister of Defense, Major General Mher Abousad, met in Moscow with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The meeting addressed various political, military, and economic issues of mutual interest to both countries, with a particular focus on strategic cooperation in the field of military industries.” It added that the two sides discussed “ways to develop military-technical partnership (…) and the transfer of technical expertise, as well as cooperation in research and development fields, which contributes to strengthening the national defense system and supporting security and stability in Syria and the region.”
On the economic front, “the prospects for expanding economic and trade cooperation between the two countries were discussed, including supporting reconstruction projects, developing infrastructure sectors, encouraging investments in Syria, in addition to enhancing trade exchange and facilitating partnerships, which will positively reflect on the Syrian economy and contribute to improving living conditions,” according to the agency.
