مجلس الأمن الدولى ينتوي عقد جلسة استثنائية طارئة

يعتزم مجلس الأمن الدولي، عقد جلسة استثنائية طارئة، الاثنين، لمناقشة اعتراف إسرائيل بأرض الصومال.
وذكر موقع “تايمز أوف إسرائيل” الإخباري، أن البعثة الإسرائيلية لدى الأمم المتحدة أفادت للصحفيين بأنه من المتوقع أن تعقد الجلسة الاثنين المقبل على الساعة 15:00 بتوقيت نيويورك.
وفي معرض تعليقه على الاجتماع الطارئ المرتقب مجلس الأمن، قال المندوب الإسرائيلي الدائم لدى الأمم المتحدة، داني دانون: “لن نتوانى عن النقاشات السياسية”، على حد تعبيره.
وادعى دانون، في تدوينة على منصة شركة “إكس” الأمريكية، أن إسرائيل “ستواصل التحرك بمسؤولية وحذر من أجل تعزيز التعاون مع شركائها الذين يساهمون في الاستقرار الإقليمي”.
والجمعة، أعلن مكتب رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو، في بيان، أن الأخير “أعلن الاعتراف الرسمي بجمهورية أرض الصومال دولة مستقلة ذات سيادة”، في خطوة لاقت رفضا عربيا ودوليا واسعا.
ويتصرف إقليم “أرض الصومال”، الذي لا يتمتع باعتراف رسمي منذ إعلانه الانفصال عن الصومال عام 1991، باعتباره كيانا مستقلا إداريا وسياسيا وأمنيا، مع عجز الحكومة المركزية عن بسط سيطرتها على الإقليم، أو تمكن قيادته من انتزاع الاستقلال.
وعقب اعتراف تل أبيب، أكدت حكومة الصومال الاتحادية، في بيان الجمعة “التزامها المطلق وغير القابل للتفاوض بسيادة ووحدة وسلامة البلاد”، مشددة على “الرفض القاطع للخطوة غير القانونية التي اتخذتها إسرائيل بزعم الاعتراف بالمنطقة الشمالية من الصومال”.
وشددت الحكومة الاتحادية على أن “منطقة أرض الصومال تعد جزءا لا يتجزأ من أراضي جمهورية الصومال الاتحادية السيادية، ولا يجوز فصلها أو التصرف فيها”.
فيما سارعت عدة دول ومنظمات إلى رفض الخطوة الإسرائيلية أحادية الجانب، على رأسها مصر وتركيا والسعودية وقطر وفلسطين والأردن وجيبوتي واليمن والجامعة العربية ومجلس التعاون الخليجي ومنظمة التعاون الإسلامي والاتحاد الإفريقي والاتحاد الأوروبي.

The UN Security Council intends to hold an extraordinary emergency session on Monday to discuss Israel’s recognition of Somaliland.
The Israeli news site “Times of Israel” reported that the Israeli mission to the UN informed journalists that the session is expected to be held next Monday at 15:00 New York time.
Commenting on the anticipated Security Council emergency meeting, Israel’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Danny Danon, stated, “We will not hesitate to engage in political discussions.”
In a post on the American company “X” platform, Danon claimed that Israel “will continue to act responsibly and cautiously to enhance cooperation with its partners who contribute to regional stability.”
On Friday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office announced in a statement that he “has declared the official recognition of the Republic of Somaliland as an independent, sovereign state,” a move that has faced widespread Arab and international rejection.
The “Somaliland” region, which has lacked official recognition since declaring its separation from Somalia in 1991, functions as an administratively, politically, and security-independent entity, with the central government unable to extend its control over the region, and its leadership failing to secure recognized independence.
Following Tel Aviv’s recognition, the Federal Government of Somalia confirmed in a statement on Friday its “absolute and non-negotiable commitment to the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of the country,” stressing “a firm rejection of the illegal step taken by Israel in allegedly recognizing the northern region of Somalia.”
The federal government emphasized that “the Somaliland region is an integral part of the sovereign territory of the Federal Republic of Somalia, and it cannot be separated or disposed of.”
Meanwhile, several countries and organizations swiftly rejected the unilateral Israeli move, led by Egypt, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Palestine, Jordan, Djibouti, Yemen, the Arab League, the Gulf Cooperation Council, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the African Union, and the European Union.
