بدأت الصين اليوم الثلاثاء مناورات عسكرية لليوم الثاني على التوالي تحاكي حصار موانئ تايوان بهدف توجيه “تحذير شديد” إلى الجزيرة التي قال رئيسها إنه يتصرف بمسؤولية “لعدم تصعيد التوترات أو إثارة نزاعات”.
وشاهد صحافيو وكالة الصحافة الفرنسية في بينغتان، وهي جزيرة صينية تعد أقرب نقطة إلى تايوان، وابلاً من الصواريخ تطلق في الهواء قرابة الساعة التاسعة صباحاً (01:00 بتوقيت غرينتش)، تاركة وراءها آثاراً من الدخان الأبيض.
من جانبه قال الجيش الصيني في بيان، “في تمام الساعة 9:30 (1:30 بتوقيت غرينتش) في الـ30 من ديسمبر (كانون الأول)، أجرت القوات البرية التابعة لقيادة المنطقة الشرقية لجيش التحرير الشعبي تدريبات بالذخيرة الحية بعيدة المدى في المياه شمال جزيرة تايوان وحققت النتائج المرجوة”.
وأفادت وزارة الدفاع في تايوان التي تتمتع بحكم ذاتي بأنها رصدت 130 طائرة عسكرية صينية قرب الجزيرة خلال 24 ساعة، و14 سفينة تابعة للبحرية الصينية وثماني سفن حكومية، وهذا أعلى عدد من الطائرات الصينية التي ترصد في يوم واحد منذ الـ15 من أكتوبر (تشرين الأول) 2024.
وأظهر بيان لقيادة المنطقة الشرقية لجيش التحرير الشعبي خريطة خمس مناطق كبيرة تحيط بالجزيرة، حيث يفترض أن “تنظم نشاطات إطلاق نار حي” من الساعة الثامنة صباحاً حتى السادسة بعد الظهر (من الساعة 00:00 إلى 10:00 بتوقيت غرينتش الثلاثاء) في إطار هذه التدريبات التي أطلق عليها اسم “مهمة العدالة 2025”.
وأكد الناطق باسم القيادة الكولونيل شي يي، أمس، أن القوات الصينية تركز على “دوريات الاستعداد القتالي الجوي والبحري… وحصار الموانئ والمناطق الرئيسة، والردع المتعدد الأبعاد”.
وقال شي يي في البيان إن التدريبات بمثابة “تحذير شديد اللهجة للقوى الانفصالية المطالبة بـ’استقلال تايوان‘، وهي إجراء مشروع وضروري لحماية سيادة الصين ووحدتها الوطنية”.
من جهتها، ذكرت تايوان أن بعض المناطق التي حددتها الصين لهذه المناورات كانت على مسافة أقل من 12 ميلاً بحرياً (نحو 20 كيلومتراً) من سواحلها.
وأشارت إدارة الطيران المدني في تايوان إلى أن بكين أعلنتها “منطقة خطر موقت” لمدة 10 ساعات اليوم، “ومن المتوقع أن يؤدي ذلك إلى تعطيل حركة الطيران في المنطقة”.
وأضافت أنه نتيجة لذلك ستتأثر أكثر من 857 رحلة جوية محلية ودولية ورحلات عبور خلال اليوم، وأشارت إلى أنه تم إلغاء عشرات الرحلات الجوية إلى جزيرتي كينمن وماتسو التايوانيتين الواقعتين قرب الساحل الصيني اليوم، مما أثر في نحو 6 آلاف مسافر.
أعلن خفر السواحل في تايوان اليوم أنه نشر 14 قارباً لمراقبة النشاط البحري، “باستخدام نهج تتبع فردي لردع السفن الصينية بصورة حازمة”.
وتعهد الرئيس التايواني لاي تشينغ تي اليوم في منشور على “فيسبوك” عدم “استفزاز” بكين أو “تصعيد حدة التوترات” معها.
وأمس، قال الجيش التايواني إنه نشر “قوات مناسبة” رداً على إعلان الصين وأنشأ “مركز استجابة”، مشيراً إلى أن قواته المسلحة “نفذت تمرين الاستجابة السريعة”.
وقال متحدث باسم وزارة الدفاع في تايبيه إن هذه المناورات العسكرية التي يقودها الحزب الشيوعي الصيني الحاكم “استفزازية ومتهورة للغاية”، مضيفاً أنها “تقوض بشكل خطر السلام والاستقرار الإقليميين”.
من جهته، قال الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترمب أمس إنه ليس قلقاً في شأن المناورات العسكرية التي تنفذها الصين بالذخيرة الحية حول تايوان، مستبعداً احتمال قيام نظيره شي جينبينغ بإصدار أوامر بغزو الجزيرة.
وتعتبر الصين تايوان جزءاً من أراضيها، ولم تستبعد ضمها بالقوة إذا لزم الأمر.
ويأتي هذا الاستعراض للقوة بعد أسابيع من التوترات بين الصين واليابان التي بدأت بتصريحات تشير إلى إمكان دعم طوكيو تايوان في حال نشوب نزاع مسلح في المستقبل.
وتأتي هذه المناورة العسكرية أيضاً عقب صفقة بيع أسلحة أميركية جديدة لتايبيه في منتصف ديسمبر (كانون الأول) الجاري، وهي الثانية منذ عودة دونالد ترمب إلى الرئاسة، بقيمة إجمالية بلغت 11.1 مليار دولار.
واليوم، أكد وزير الخارجية الصيني وانغ يي أن بكين “ستتصدى بقوة” لمبيعات الأسلحة الأميركية لتايوان، وقال في خطاب ألقاه في بكين “رداً على الاستفزازات المستمرة من جانب القوى المؤيدة للاستقلال في تايوان ومبيعات الأسلحة الأميركية لتايوان، يجب علينا بالطبع أن نعارضها بحزم ونتصدى لها بقوة”.
وأضاف وانغ الذي كان يتحدث في ندوة سنوية للعلاقات الدولية في بكين، أن أي محاولة لعرقلة توحيد الصين مع تايوان “ستنتهي حتماً بالفشل”.

China on Tuesday launched military exercises for a second consecutive day simulating a blockade of Taiwan’s ports, with the aim of delivering a “stern warning” to the island, whose president said he was acting responsibly “to avoid escalating tensions or provoking conflicts.”
AFP journalists in Pingtan — a Chinese island considered the closest point to Taiwan — witnessed a barrage of missiles fired into the air at around 9:00 a.m. (01:00 GMT), leaving trails of white smoke behind.
For its part, the Chinese military said in a statement: “At exactly 9:30 a.m. (1:30 GMT) on December 30, ground forces under the Eastern Theater Command of the People’s Liberation Army conducted long-range live-fire drills in waters north of Taiwan Island and achieved the desired results.”
Taiwan’s self-ruled Ministry of Defense said it detected 130 Chinese military aircraft near the island within 24 hours, along with 14 Chinese navy vessels and eight government ships — the highest number of Chinese aircraft recorded in a single day since October 15, 2024.
A statement from the PLA’s Eastern Theater Command showed a map of five large zones surrounding the island, where “live-fire activities are scheduled” from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (00:00–10:00 GMT Tuesday) as part of the drills, dubbed “Justice Mission 2025.”
Eastern Theater Command spokesperson Colonel Shi Yi said yesterday that Chinese forces are focusing on “combat readiness air and sea patrols… the blockade of ports and key areas, and multidimensional deterrence.”
Shi Yi added that the drills serve as a “severe warning to separatist forces advocating ‘Taiwan independence’ and are a legitimate and necessary measure to safeguard China’s sovereignty and national unity.”
Taiwan, meanwhile, said that some of the areas designated by China for the exercises were less than 12 nautical miles (about 20 kilometers) from its coast.
Taiwan’s Civil Aviation Administration noted that Beijing had declared a “temporary danger zone” for 10 hours today, “which is expected to disrupt air traffic in the region.”
It added that more than 857 domestic, international, and transit flights would be affected today, noting that dozens of flights to the Taiwanese islands of Kinmen and Matsu near the Chinese coast were canceled, impacting around 6,000 passengers.
Taiwan’s Coast Guard announced today that it had deployed 14 vessels to monitor maritime activity, “using an individual tracking approach to firmly deter Chinese ships.”
Taiwanese President Lai Ching-te pledged today in a Facebook post not to “provoke” Beijing or “escalate tensions” with it.
Yesterday, Taiwan’s military said it had deployed “appropriate forces” in response to China’s announcement and established a “response center,” noting that its armed forces had “conducted a rapid response exercise.”
A spokesperson for Taiwan’s Ministry of Defense in Taipei described the military drills led by China’s ruling Communist Party as “highly provocative and reckless,” adding that they “dangerously undermine regional peace and stability.”
For his part, U.S. President Donald Trump said yesterday that he was not concerned about China’s live-fire military drills around Taiwan, ruling out the possibility that his counterpart Xi Jinping would order an invasion of the island.
China considers Taiwan part of its territory and has not ruled out annexing it by force if necessary.
This show of force comes weeks after tensions between China and Japan, which began with statements suggesting that Tokyo could support Taiwan in the event of a future armed conflict.
The drills also follow a new U.S. arms sale to Taipei in mid-December — the second since Donald Trump’s return to the presidency — with a total value of $11.1 billion.
Today, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi reaffirmed that Beijing would “resolutely counter” U.S. arms sales to Taiwan, saying in a speech in Beijing: “In response to the continued provocations by pro-independence forces in Taiwan and U.S. arms sales to Taiwan, we must, of course, firmly oppose them and respond forcefully.”
Wang, speaking at an annual international relations forum in Beijing, added that any attempt to obstruct China’s reunification with Taiwan “will inevitably end in failure.”
