جدد الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترامب، الخميس، دعوته لنظيره الإسرائيلي إسحاق هرتسوغ، لمنح عفو لرئيس الوزراء بنيامين نتنياهو، الذي يواجه محاكمة بتهم فساد، بما يتيح له التفرغ لإدارة الحرب مع إيران.
وأكثر من مرة دعا ترامب، الرئيس الإسرائيلي إلى العفو عن نتنياهو، بما في ذلك خلال خطابه أمام الكنيست في أكتوبر/ تشرين الأول 2025، وفي رسالة وجهها إلى هرتسوغ في الشهر التالي.
وأثار طلب ترامب، انتقاداتٍ داخل إسرائيل لتدخله في الإجراءات القانونية الداخلية لإسرائيل.
وفي 13 فبراير/ شباط الماضي، قال هرتسوغ إن مسألة العفو عن نتنياهو “قيد المراجعة”، وسيتم بحثها “دون أي ضغوط داخلية أو خارجية”.
وقال ترامب، في مقابلة هاتفية مع القناة “12” العبرية، إن هرتسوغ، “يجب أن يمنح نتنياهو عفوا فورا”، مشيرا إلى أنه لا يريد أن يكون هناك أي أمر يشغل رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي “سوى الحرب مع إيران”.
ومنذ 28 فبراير/شباط الماضي، تشن إسرائيل والولايات المتحدة عدوانا عسكريا على إيران، أودى بحياة مئات الأشخاص، على رأسهم المرشد علي خامنئي ومسؤولون أمنيون.
وأضاف ترامب، أن الرئيس الإسرائيلي وعده “خمس مرات” خلال العام الماضي، بأنه سيمنح نتنياهو العفو، منتقدا إبقاء هذا الملف معلقا فوق رأس نتنياهو طوال هذه الفترة.
وقال: “لقد تحدثت معه عدة مرات حول هذا الموضوع، وقد وعدني مرارا بأنه سيمنح العفو”.
وتابع أن استمرار عدم حسم مسألة العفو يثير استغرابه، خاصة في ظل الظروف الأمنية التي تمر بها إسرائيل والحرب الجارية مع إيران.
ولفت الرئيس الأمريكي إلى أنه أبلغ هرتسوغ بإمكانية كشف هذه المحادثات علنا.
كما أشار إلى أنه أبلغ هرتسوغ، أنه لا يرغب في لقائه إذا لم تُتخذ خطوة في هذا الملف.
وأكد ترامب، أنه من الأفضل لنتنياهو أن يتفرغ بالكامل لإدارة الحرب والملفات الأمنية دون أن تبقى قضاياه القضائية مصدر ضغط أو انشغال.
ويواجه نتنياهو اتهامات بالفساد والرشوة وإساءة الأمانة في 3 ملفات فساد معروفة بالملفات “1000” و”2000″ و”4000″.
وفي 30 نوفمبر/ تشرين الثاني الماضي، طلب نتنياهو من هرتسوغ منحه عفوا عن تهم الفساد التي تلاحقه، لكن دون الإقرار بالذنب أو اعتزال الحياة السياسية.
ومنذ بداية محاكمته في 2020، يرفض نتنياهو الاعتراف بالذنب، بينما لا يتيح القانون الإسرائيلي للرئيس منح العفو إلا بعد الإقرار بالذنب.

On Thursday, US President Donald Trump renewed his call to his Israeli counterpart, Isaac Herzog, to grant a pardon to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is facing trial on corruption charges, allowing him to devote himself full time to managing the war with Iran.
More than once, Trump called on the Israeli president to pardon Netanyahu, including during his speech before the Knesset in October 2025, and in a letter he addressed to Herzog the following month.
Trump’s request sparked criticism within Israel for his interference in Israel’s internal legal procedures.
On February 13, Herzog said that the issue of pardoning Netanyahu was “under review” and would be discussed “without any internal or external pressure.”
Trump said, in a telephone interview with the Hebrew Channel 12, that Herzog “must grant Netanyahu a pardon immediately,” indicating that he does not want the Israeli Prime Minister to be preoccupied with anything “except the war with Iran.”
Since February 28, Israel and the United States have launched a military aggression against Iran, which has claimed the lives of hundreds of people, led by Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and security officials.
Trump added that the Israeli president promised him “five times” over the past year that he would…Netanyahu will grant amnesty, criticizing keeping this file hanging over Netanyahu’s head throughout this period.
He said: “I spoke to him several times about this issue, and he repeatedly promised me that he would grant pardon.”
He continued that the continued failure to resolve the amnesty issue raises his surprise, especially in light of the security conditions that Israel is going through and the ongoing war with Iran.
The American President indicated that he informed Herzog of the possibility of revealing these talks publicly.
He also indicated that he informed Herzog that he did not wish to meet him if no step was taken in this file.
Trump stressed that it is better for Netanyahu to devote himself entirely to managing the war and security files without his judicial cases remaining a source of pressure or preoccupation.
Netanyahu faces charges of corruption, bribery, and breach of trust in three corruption files known as Files 1000, 2000, and 4000.
On November 30, Netanyahu asked Herzog to grant him a pardon for the corruption charges against him, but without pleading guilty or retiring from political life.
Since the beginning of his trial in 2020, Netanyahu has refused to admit guilt, while Israeli law does not allow the president to grant pardon except after pleading guilty.
