بحث وزير الخارجية السعودي فيصل بن فرحان، الجمعة، مع نظيره الروسي سيرغي لافروف، الجمعة، العلاقات الثنائية بين البلدين وسبل تعزيز التعاون المشترك.
جاء ذلك خلال اتصال هاتفي تلقاه الوزير السعودي من لافروف، وفق ما أوردته وكالة الأنباء السعودية (واس).
وأفادت الوكالة بأن الجانبين استعرضا العلاقات الثنائية بين البلدين، وسبل تعزيز مجالات التعاون المشترك، إضافة إلى بحث عدد من الموضوعات ذات الاهتمام المشترك (دون مزيد من التفاصيل).
وفي 3 ديسمبر/ كانون الأول الماضي، أعلنت السعودية توقيع اتفاقية مع روسيا تقتضي الإعفاء المتبادل من تأشيرات الدخول لمواطني البلدين.
وقالت الخارجية السعودية في حينه، إنه “في ظل العلاقات المتميزة بين المملكة وروسيا، وقّع الجانبان اتفاقية إعفاء متبادل من تأشيرات الدخول لمواطني البلدين الصديقين”.
وتعد روسيا أول دولة توقع معها المملكة اتفاقية إعفاء من التأشيرات تشمل حاملي جواز السفر العادي، وفق الخارجية السعودية.

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance joint cooperation with his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov, on Friday.
This came during a phone call received by the Saudi minister from Lavrov, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The agency reported that the two sides reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance areas of joint cooperation, in addition to discussing a number of topics of common interest (without further details).
Last December 3, Saudi Arabia announced the signing of an agreement with Russia providing for the mutual exemption of entry visas for citizens of both countries.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry said at the time, “In light of the distinguished relations between the Kingdom and Russia, the two sides signed an agreement on mutual visa exemption for citizens of the two friendly countries.”
According to the Saudi Foreign Ministry, Russia is the first country with which the Kingdom has signed a visa exemption agreement covering ordinary passport holders.
